Randall | Blueberries! |
Randall | And, of course, peaches and cotton, but people don't know about blueberries. |
Valentine | Blueberries must grow everywhere. |
Randall | They are easy to cultivate. |
Randall | Our state fruit is the peach. |
Valentine | I really like peaches, in fact I don't think there's a fruit I don't like. |
Randall | Peaches and pears are both good to eat whole when ripe. |
Randall | And plums! |
Valentine | Like I said I like them all, though have to remember they all have a lot of sugar in them. Though I'm not sure if melons do. |
Randall | Watermelon! |
PlutoSurvivor | my mom planted a blueberry bush one year and the birds got all of them I just learned from my master Gardner friend that if you want to harvest blueberries, then you must plant another berry bush next to it for the birds. I think it is serviceberry. It's taller and gets blue colored berries and the birds it better. |
Randall | Ah, neat trick! |
Randall | Are those other berries good for humans? |
Randall | Never heard of them. |
Valentine | I've never heard of serviceberry either. As far as I know all berries are good for our health. |
Randall | They must taste good for those birds to choose them. |
Randall | I'd like to try some. |
Randall | Serviceberry jam! |
